  • Setting up workspace & understanding timelines

Principles of Animation (Part 1)
This week focuses on the first set of the 12 Principles of Animation: Squash & Stretch, Anticipation, and Timing & Spacing. You’ll learn how these principles make movement believable and dynamic. We’ll also cover keyframes vs in-betweens and practice them hands-on.

Principles of Animation (Part 2)

Introduction to 2D Animation Software
This week is all about hands-on software work. You’ll learn to navigate tools like Adobe Animate, Blender, or Pencil2D. We’ll cover layers, onion skinning, and keyframes, and introduce basic rigging for character animation.

Scenes, Backgrounds & Lip Sync
You’ll create backgrounds and environments, learn how to add camera movements (panning and zooming), and understand lip sync basics for dialogue scenes. We’ll also cover sound design fundamentals like syncing voice and sound effects.

Editing & Post-Production
This week focuses on refining your work. You’ll learn to add sound effects and background music, adjust timing for better flow, and export your animations in different formats. Plus, you’ll get an introduction to motion graphics for titles and text animation.

Final Project & Presentation
